We loved our stay! Everything was perfect, the location, lovely pool area, a lot of space for us as a family to enjoy our stay, and the apartment was clean and inviting. The whole place was aesthetic and kept with love. We felt very welcomed by lovely Constance and Michel. They left us bread, jam, juice and milk and coffee and tea amenities as we arrived. Comfy beds and pillows were really nice touch so good night sleep was guaranteed. Lovely rural views from the windows in the peace and quiet but also from a short distance to for example Carcassonne medieval city. We are thankful for everything and highly recommend the place for shorter and longer stays!

Carcassonne is a beautiful place to visit, you have the largest fortified city in Europe and it is fantastic, an incredible place, you also have the Canal de midi where you can go on boat trips which are very enjoyable, amazing vineyards where you can get very good tours and learn about the various wines and how they are made. Place Carnot is a lovely square with beautiful restaurants, I could go on and on but these are the main tourist attractions.

The Cite is beautiful and may take several visits to take it all in. There is something for everyone, including cafes, restaurants, shops, a cathedral, and a walk around the castle wall to make the most of many views over the rest of the area. Everything is within walking distance.
Free parking nearby
Lots to go and see in the area, just a short drive from the cite

The breakfasts were very nice and we had different options each day.
Given the hot weather, it was fantastic to have a swim each day after being out sightseeing.
The hosts were extremely helpful in giving us suggestions about what to see in the area.

Carcassonne has so much to do ,the castle ,the music festival the town ,the markets and the wonderful swimming lake just outside Cacasonne the restaurants are great and very well priced my fav irate was a Asian restaurant call Thang Long and The 4 Temps the food was great there the downsides ,large groups of men at night in town center who think it’s normal to pester women ,I have been there the last 5 years and only this year did we notice this ,if I left my wife to get a drink at the bar she would be pestered straight away ,the Celt Irish bar does a great pint of Guinness

We had 3 nights in Carcassonne at the start of our trip, and then 1 at the end.
We became quite familiar with it, and enjoyed wandering around, and finding tucked away places.
We had no idea there was so much to see or do within the castle walls! That was a wonderful surprise.
And it feels as though the town is getting better.
On the way back to the airport we popped into Monoprix with our cabin cases, and the security guard wouldn't let us in with them, which was a bit odd, as it hadn't been a problem anywhere else!
Staff in the Tourism office were also not very approachable.
But in contrast, nearly everywhere else we went, staff were friendly and helpful.
Our favourite place for brunch was Au P'tit Brunch, and the pizzas (and decor) at La Table du Vatican were amazing!
