This property was very close to the really quiet airport - you wouldn't have known the airport was there. Grounds were lovely. Karima, our host, is very pleasant, friendly and provides a good breakfast. Lovely spot for exploring further afield.

The property is located in a very nice quiet area surrounded by vineyards (which was a very unique experience for us) with a swimming pool and jacuzzi which are facing a very beautiful castle on the hill. Breakfast was superb. The bed was unbelievably comfy, and the bungalow was clean and neat. the place is located not far from Bergerac (5 km), however it is essential to have a car to explore the area around, which is absolutely stunning. Would like to thank Mari and Fernel one more time for letting us stay, and for helping us around as we didnt have a car. we really enjoyed our stay, would definitely come back, and advise this place to our family and friends!

Our favorite things to do was walking the old quarter pedestrian streets and sightseeing while shopping. The market on the square was a delight. The cognac vendor even gives free samples! This is a great place! The city itself is pure eye candy. Architecturally, it is both stunning and charming. You'd be hard pressed to find a nicer area to spend time. We found it heavenly.
Pleasant interesting town, good restaurants but many are closed Sunday and Monday. Town is quite wheelchair friendly. Good drives to surrounding area for other small historic towns, chateaux's etc.
Weekends are not a good time for finding restaurants and shops open.Wish we'd planned at least one weekday. But walking the narrow streets; seeing the old, old stone block and half-timbered houses; enjoying the colorful flowers in the squares, gardens and window boxes; grabbing a tasty meal; sitting by the beautiful Dordogne River with a croissant and cup of expresso or glass of wine while watching the gabarres (old river boats) pass lazily by . . . That's just stuff we dream about . . .
We were there on the Sunday after the Nice attacks so it's hard to say much about the town. I know that things were canceled for three days of mourning. We had hoped to spend time at wineries but were unaware that they are not open on Sunday.
This is a wonderful compact unspoilt town , with great and plentiful eateries. The people were very polite and friendly in general, recommend a river trip down the Dordogne .This is our second trip to Bergerac and hopefully not our last.
Why a beautiful little city! If you are flying from this airport, make time to have a look around. We rushed in to a restaurant on the river front- then after wished we had taken more time to explore the bars, cafes and restaurants in the squares behind. More choice and better value!
