Located in Dundee, 1.5 miles from Discovery Point, Seaview Cottage Central Dundee provides a living room with a flat-screen TV, and free WiFi. The place was bigger and better decorated than the pictures show. The bathroom is also separate, not 'en suite' as listed. We liked that it had a full tub as well as shower. The beds were very comfy. The kitchen is very well stocked with equipment if you want to prepare your own meals. Very clean place. Communication was very good with the hosts even though we had a problem with Booking.com with the reservation. There are bus stops right nearby or an easy 20 minute walk into the centre, if you don't have a car.

A good choice if you want a city break. A mid-sized city with a range of bars/restaurants, several art galleries and a harbour/coastal location. The people are comfortably diverse, kind and friendly.

On my very first visit to Dundee I found a friendly city...
On my very first visit to Dundee I found a friendly city with two lovely climbs to give fabulous views over the Tay estuary; the Balgay park has an atmospheric Victorian cemetery with impressive monuments at the top, although the Observatory at the highest point is now boarded up. Dundee Law is a short steep climb with seating at the top; I had really close up views of two buzzards circling there. Lunched in The Selkies cafe twice - moderately priced first class fresh food, so good! Spent a rewarding 'recovery' hour in The Pillars, Dundee's oldest pub, drinking real ale and enjoying the very happy crowd in there, an experience which was trumped only by several visits to The Speedwell on Perth Road, a truly wonderful find for a weary single traveller. The McManus museum and art gallery is free admission and very interesting in a central city position inside a most impressive Victorian gothic stand alone building. And do not miss the utterly engaging Verdant Works Jute museum if social history is your thing. The modern V&A on the appealing waterfront is a WOW piece of modern architecture which I admired seeing greatly - the inside I found a little underwhelming. Watching Dundee United play on Saturday early evening proved to be surprisingly riveting, aided by a substantial Scotch pie at half time.

Great place for a culture break.
Great place for a culture break. Don’t just restrict your visit to the city you can also enjoy a lovely visit to Broughty Ferry and St Andrews too. Lovely restaurants in Dundee and a fantastic art shop/ galleries too. Worth going to Gallery Q!

Had you really good places to visit especially the museums, plenty of places to eat and drink and historic buildings. Some of the building are empty and a little run down. People are very friendly and welcoming.

The city is undergoing a lot of regeneration; along with the V&A, Discovery Point, the riverside area has great street art & lovely independent cafes namely The Flame Tree. The city centre has some hidden gems & will likely improve as the regeneration spreads across the city.

Lovely clean apartment, great size !
Lovely clean apartment, great size ! Unfortunately I feel it isn’t safe . The fire alarm went off next door then there was no staff mon-thur . No out of hours answering . My children were outside with me at 2am for an hour. We managed to get the firebrigade to turn off the alarm. But my husband needed to go find the fire engine next door to then get help. The fire doors were wedged open which is illegal and only rectified at 10am the next day. If there was a fire pretty sure it would not be good if the both fire doors To the stair well were wedged open.
