Friendly staff the food was exceptional!! We stayed in room 12 a little annex out the back which was just perfect for me the hubby & the dog!! The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was plenty big enough!! It’s very central for travelling for days out ...West Bay ...Lyme Regis..Clarke’s village..Air fleet museum Weymouth just to name a few!! Well worth a stay !!
Very pretty village with a river running through it. An old church, lots of characterful houses and pleasant walks across the fields. Only about half a mile from the A303, so a perfect place to stop to break your journey on the way to Devon or Cornwall. I recommend a visit to the Haynes Motor Museum which is about five minutes drive away and full of the most stunning cars and bikes from the beginning of motoring up to almost modern day.
Comfortable bed with very nice modern bathroom. Powerful shower. Our only negative comment was there was no shower get, only shampoo & conditioner. It didn’t matter to us as had our own but it could do to others.
Absolutely lovely B&B. Superb facilities, room, bathroom, food. Good knowledge of the area and tourist information. Our dog loved it too. If you are travelling with your dog, then a visit to Lytes Carey Manor is recommended for lovely country walks. It's only a mile from the B&B.
Stayed here overnight after going to a concert at Huish Park in Yeovil. Made to feel very welcome, breakfast was very good. Everyone here so very friendly. Think small, cosy traditional English pub in a pretty, tradional English village. Owls hooting at night and church bells in the morning, so lovely to hear.
Tiny ancient town that has 3 pubs, an Italian restaurant, a Chinese take away plus one lovely gift and flower shop. It is convenient to visit some wonderful National Trust gardens and properties. I ate at the Bull but can't recommend it, The Ilchester Arms owned by the same family is the better bet.
