In short time we learned a lot about the indonesian culture in Ruteng. And we got served home-made coffee from their garden, which tasted amazing. Tipp: Irwan also is an highly experienced tour guide all accross Flores so we recomment getting in touch with him beforehand to plan some hiking tours with him! Peter and Karolina felt like family very quickly. We felt very welcomed into their home. They even invited us to celebrate Indonesia Independence Day with their family and everyone was so nice and happy to have us. It was way more than just an accommodation. Their house is nice and comfortable. I would really recommend to stay with these beautiful family.
