Vrijedi obici Q.Motzkin u sklopu obilaska Haife i sjevera Israela.
Haifa was a pleasant surprise - a beautiful beach city with flowers and a view of the Mediterranean from anywhere. My only recommendation is for people to get to know at least a little of the Hebrew language - very few building signs were in English so unless you knew exactly where you were going it was a little difficult to know where you are.
Haifa is a really fun place to visit especially now that the carmel tunnels have reduced traffic issues. There is plenty for everyone to do - museums, The beautiful Bahai gardens, huge malls, a beautiful beach and a slightly cooler temperature than Tel Aviv. The winding roads up and down the mountain and the plentiful greenery make it one of the most beautiful cities in Israel. You are a quick drive away from Caesarea and the roman ruins, from the sea grottoes of Rosh Ha Nikra, from Acre and it's ancient turkish baths and right next door to a lovely Druze village that is worth a visit. Gluten free dining is readily available with Dominos and Pizza Hut offering GF options. Fine dining sits next to burger joints there is no shortage of restaurants in this city. Parks and playgrounds are scattered throughout the city and the traffic is very pedestrian friendly.
Haifa ia a lovely city, clean and attractive with beautiful sea views. It has good restaurants, especially in the lower city area and there's plenty for tourists to do, including good beaches, cultural events etc. Public transport seems to work well,; taxis are reasonable and people are friendly. It might get dull after a day or two but well worth a short visit. Most of all, Haifa is a mixed Jewish-Arab city and offers a good example of how well co-existence can work - by taking it for granted.
You can spend a day or two in Haifa. The Baha'i gardens are very impressive - highly recommended. The German colony was disappointing - many places have only Oriental menus, people smoke in the restaurants. The "YES Planet" cinema was a good experience.
The city's main feature is its diversity - in landscapes you see, neighbourhoods you visit and people you meet. The Baha'i Gardens, the Museum of the Japanese Art, the Philharmonie, Elijah's Cave, the German Colony and the Stella Maris monastery are worth visiting. Tragically, the city has been hit by devastating blazes recently, so I don't know what is left of the marvellous pine wood areas on Mt Carmel. The sea front in the southern part of the city is a nice place for riding a bicycle or just walking.
