Hotel in Reykjavík 101, Reykjavík ( 0.2 miles)
This eco-friendly hotel is next to Öskjuhlíd Hill’s quiet woods and 0.6 mi from Nauthólsvík geothermal beach. WiFi and gym access are free. My room was a good size, the bed and linen was EXTREMELY comfortable. I had an amazing sleep every night. I had the dinner and breakfast (both buffet) at the property which a little out of my budget but I feel was so worth it. I gave compliments to the chefs after dinner as every single thing was delicious, I just wish I was able to eat more! Haha! All the staff were very friendly from check in to check out.

Providing a garden, An elegant studio apartment in Reykjavik - Great Location offers accommodations in Reykjavík. With garden views, this accommodation features a terrace. We loved everything about this apartment. It was comfortable, clean and well equipped, and the views across the bay and walks along the shore are fantastic. We loved being just a little bit out of the centre of town, tho still a walkable distance, and the bus into the centre is really quick and easy too.

This budget hotel is 328 feet from Reykjavik's BSI Bus Terminal, the arrival/departure point for Keflavík International Airport buses. It offers free WiFi and parking. We loved our basic little cottage at the edge of town. It was quiet and clean and the bathrooms weren't too far away. There was always an available shower and toilet and there was even a small sauna. The ladies at the front desk were very kind and helpful. There's a free shuttle into town twice a day - saved us a bit of a hike.

It's a compact city so easy to get around. You can even hire an IHOP scooter if you wish. Food can be expensive but away from the hotspots of rainbow street, bargains can be had. It's a clean city and locals are respectful. Excellent communications both on the ground and for your mobile. Vitabar great for burger and beer, blue car rental superb, definitely visit the lava show.
Hlid Fisherman's Village had lots of "viking" character with some very interesting maritime realia, close proximity to Icelandic horses, heritage chickens, a koi pond, cedar sauna and two rooftop hot tubs. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the view was to the sea.
Fantastic location, located closely to so many fantastic restaurants, grocery stores and everything you need to enjoy your stay.... very easy to drive into Reykjavik or head out onto the Ring Road elsewhere.
The town center is rather small, after a day you can find your way around it. The town is easily covered on foot, if you want to go outside the centre, there are very reliable and not very expensive buses. At the central bus station they have all the information, but most hostels and hotels can help you, too. Reykjavik is very relaxed in a sort of nordic hippy-style. I like all the different colours of the houses, they make the city so cheerful. Try to go to the harbour, there are also some excellent restaurants there and it has a very nice atmosphere.. I always eat very well in Reykjavik, even a humble pizza is delicious. But try the fish dishes! And the ice cream! Food is not cheap, but there are some really good restaurants (in and out of the centre) and the dishes are worth the money. There's a lot of choice for vegetarians and vegans, too. This time I went to the Perlan-museum. Go there on a rainy day, it's really spectacular; the northern lights-film is marvellous and you learn a lot about Iceland. On my next visit I'll try to take the bus to the outskirts of Reykjavik. But try to book a hotel/hostel/B&B near a bus stop or the Flybus-stop, that makes travelling so much easier.
ive already answered these questions twice. we paid for a superior room and got one. Neighborhood is out of the way but has great views and animals and is near the road to Costco. we spent 2 weeks driving the entire island and enjoyed it. This place has a theme tastefully done and modern amenities. The Viking Hotel restaurant where you check -in has a nice themed restaurant good food and service.
Limited-time stay with little opportunity to go beyond Rekyavik. Beware, this place is expensive. The airport was very busy and Iceland Air hasn't figured out how to load their aircraft with efficiency and good communications. Plan on long queues and much uncertainty as to who boards when.
