There were very few on that day because it was after the session, so we were able to enjoy the full facility of the place

Older house with character, right downtown, so very convenient and charming on the inside. Host was responsive during our stay, even arranging for something requested (last minute, shortly after our arrival) to be delivered to the house! Living room and eating area were well outfitted and welcoming. The house had a large TV (WITH ENGLISH CHANNELS) which was awesome (I think the only place during our Iceland trip)! Blackout curtains were good (no need for eye masks).

The hotel was fresh and contemporary- very comfortable and efficient. The staff were all friendly and helpful. great bar- with a real bartender. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic and the server was a pro, and knowledgeable about the island and gave recommendations for next day activities.

The location, staff, cleanliness and overall atmosphere helped us to relax after long days exploring! Food was delicious too! Breakfast was amazing and we added on dinner one night as well!

The pod was actually delightful with air conditioning and charging ports along with a tv. It also had storage lockers for me so I can have as much space as possible. The hostess was genuine and kind. She helped me out through the entire process and even recommended several spots to visit. It was smooth and comfortable.

The hostel is located in the near of the harbor with just a few minutes of walk which makes it super convenient to reach all kinds of living facilities. The room is quite spacious and extremely clean. The neighborhood is also very quiet and peaceful. Although there are not too many staffs, but all of our requests were fulfilled perfectly in time.

The island was great.
The island was great. Learned a lot about volcanos and lava. Thora with VikingTours was superb. As a local she had answers to all our questions. Even some about the geology. And even though it was late in the season, we were able to see a bunch of Puffins. Highlight of our trip.

We stayed at the house for 3 days and used it as our base as...
We stayed at the house for 3 days and used it as our base as we explored the south coast of Iceland. There was easy access to the ferry for the Westman Islands and the next large town was only about 10 miles away. The house itself is beautiful with modern fixtures and a fully equipped kitchen. There is nothing I would change about the location or the house. My only regret is that we did not stay longer. I would have no hesitation recommending this house to anyone, we had an amazing time staying there.

Puffin colony is MASSIVE.
Puffin colony is MASSIVE. If you have a car you don't need to buy any trip to go and see them as they are not hard to find. We were also hiking on the old volcano and it looked like we are on Mars. Highly recommend a bakery that is close to the harbor - delicious sandwitches with freshly made bread.

We initially went for the puffins, but were really moved by the story of the volcanic eruption in 1973, and by the way that the community has memorialized and integrated that life changing event. It was a terrific stop. Some people say only go in good weather - I will say that the ferry was choppy on the way there, but the island was gorgeous even in the rain. The skies cleared for us, and we got some gorgeous sunsets while watching the birds. Ferry home was smooth.
