Firstly, this place is huge! The house was a lot bigger than we were expecting, we were a small group of three but the house can fit a total of seven people. In the house you have your own kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms and living area as well as your own outside terrace. All the facilities were great and we made full use of the terrace outside to eat meals on sunny days! The futon beds upstairs were also very comfortable. The hosts were also very kind and helpful and even gave us croissants, donuts and a platter of fruit for our stay! There is also free parking on site. Driving to and from the house is also very easy. It's about a 10 minute drive to the castle and the nearest supermarket is a five minute drive. The house is away from the hustle and bustle of the city, so is therefore in a very quiet area. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Toyama!

Having said that, the shopping area is only a short driving distance away. Near the hotel, there are some nice restaurants and convenient stores. We love the hotel onsen and used it everyday during our stay. The breakfast was good, except that no fruit was on offer. All in all, we had a wonderful stay.

Open from June 2016, Toyama Onyado Nono features hot spring baths and is located in the heart of Toyama City, a 15-minute walk from JR Toyama Station. It features free WiFi and a restaurant. Definitely worth staying at! The hotel has a great location, right next to the Toyama Castle. It's about 20 minutes walk from the train station or you can take a tram (about 4 stops) alternatively. You can reach the Toyama Airport in about 15 minutes by Taxi. They even provide two free tram tickets for foreign visitors. The breakfast was really good, it's mostly Japanese dishes that they serve. The onsen was one of the nicest we experienced in Japan (lots of diffferent baths). It's really great value for money!

寄処 ~yosuga~ is set in Toyama, 6.2 mi from Toyama-kō and 5.6 mi from Toyama Family Park. Great location, very comfy and clean house. Most important the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, they made our stay more fun and enjoyable.

A 15-minute walk from Toyama Train Station, ANA Crowne Plaza Toyama offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and a private bathroom. Very accommodating. I want to recommend Saki. (The staff in the hotel.) she was ever lovely and wonderful. She helped me a lot as I don’t speak Japanese.

Located a 7-minute tram ride from JR Toyama Station, Daiwa Roynet Hotel Toyama offers Western-style accommodations with free WiFi. I stay with this hotel chain several times. The staff are always professional and kind. Bed is comfortable. There is a very good humidifier/purifier in room. The hotel is easy to find, take the local tram ( inside JR Station) and the hotel is just 30 seconds from the tram stops. Those trams are either very modern or very classic in design. One of the most beautiful museum is just 2 minutes walk away. I will certainly visit this hotel again in the future.
