The guest house looks exactly as it in the photo, a pretty traditional house with a cute little garden. The owner welcomed me friendly and introduced me good Gwangju food and restaurants (strongly recommend 떡갈비/Korean beef hamburg steak at 세송정/Saesongjeong, a local famous restaurant just 5 minutes walk from the guesthouse).
The room is clean, tidy, and bright, with all basic facilities. Access to the guest house is very convenient about 15 minutes walk from the Songjeong KTX station and 10 minutes walk from the Subway Songjeong Park Station. Great accommodation, definitely recommend here for a comfortable rest in Gwangju. Thank you 사장님, best wishes to your family and cute daughter

This was shockingly nice for the price we paid for it?? Like it had fancy vibes and a lot of businessmen in the lobby. The front desk staff were lovely, and they take your car and park it via a car lift? Fascinating stuff. Anyway, the room was really nice and had a great bathroom and view.

Very close to the Gwangju Metro, Sangmu Station. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.

Gwangju is the 6th largest city in Korea.
Gwangju is the 6th largest city in Korea. There’s plenty to do and see, but is definitely at least a weekend trip. However, there is something for everybody — whether you’re into hiking, history, shopping, or eating. Gwangju is also pretty spread out depending on what you want to do/see so plan accordingly and make note of where things are!
Make sure to go to a Kia Tigers Baseball Game when you’re there!

I stayed in Gwangju for a week primarily to do an event with the world famous Koran Randonneur Cycling Club. A 600k Gwangju-Busan-Gwangju. The ride started near City Hotel which is also located near the bike paths along the river. While in Gwangju I visited the very excellent Gwangju Museum of Art and the Cemetery. Gwangju seems like a very livable city with (at least) two universities and a vibrant industrial, commercial sector.

Gwangju publicises itself as an arts and culture centre.
Gwangju publicises itself as an arts and culture centre. It has a fantastic national museum and an interesting modern art museum. A Famous K-pop star BTS J Hope) comes from there and there is a cool area with cool shops and restaurants.
I would have stayed a couple more days to see some more things but my accommodation wasn't to my liking and I moved on.
