The apartment is cozy and provides enough space and all the facilities for a comfortable stay. The host was nice and quickly responded to all my questions. The apartment is really very close to the airport, 15-20 min by foot. There is also a direct public bus connection with the city center, bus and railway stations.

Everything was great. From the easy self check in, the room (clean, spacious, quiet), the bed (comfy), the bathroom (clean, hot shower) to the kitchen, (coffee and tea was available, again: clean). Great Value for money. Plus walking distance from the airport (via pedestrian-friendly small roads). Would gladly stay there again!

Kaunas Airport sits just under 9 miles (14 kilometres) from Kaunas city centre and 62 miles (100 kilometres) west of the capital, Vilnius. A taxi to Kaunas Old Town will cost around EUR 20 and takes about 15 minutes. There’s also a bus route (#29) which departs right outside the terminal to Kaunas city centre, with a journey time of around 40 minutes.

Ramuciai is a place and you cannot change it.

Ramuciai is a place and you cannot change it. It's good that I did not have a wheelbag because it would be impossible to get there. There isn't a proper pavement or street road. It is better to use a car! The Kaunas town bus No 29 goes frequently enough to reach an Airport in time. To buy food it is better to go to Kaunas to visit Maxima supermarket - much cheaper.

The photos in the listing are misleading, the building is not the one shown. The listing says it’s a 1-bedroom flat, but it’s actually a STUDIO with no bedroom and only a narrow fold-out sofa. There was only one duvet, even though it’s advertised for two people. My child had to sleep with just a duvet cover. The host said she had no extra duvet, the host’s comment was: "Well, it's hot, you can sleep with just a cover… The towels were full of lint and couldn’t be used after showering, they left fluff everywhere. When I mentioned the ad was incorrect, the host replied: “Did you even read it?” She was arrogant.

There are forest in the city center

There are forest in the city center You can wander around and still have something to see and fall in love again and again. I've learned a lot of things about Lithuanian history just reading information sign around town.

A beautiful, clean, safe city with good food, good beer, and...

A beautiful, clean, safe city with good food, good beer, and lots to see and do. There are many big green parks with large trees and plenty of shade. I walked all over the old urban part of the city, through the many small parks there and the big parks along the two rivers which come together in Kaunas. The Liberty Street promenade is what La Rambla in Barcelona would like to be and perhaps once was until it got horribly over crowded and jammed full of pushy, pesky hawkers and touts. We were there as medical tourists. My wipe got a new hip joint from the most professional medical team and clinic I have ever experienced anywhere. The clinic had many Canadians, Americans and Brits fleeing the wait-lists and/or massive costs of their home countries. I was there only to accompany my wife but developed a small ear problem - plugged and full of fluid. My wife's surgery clinic referred me to an ENT clinic a short walk down the road where the chief doctor took me in after hours 2 days later, diagnosed the problem, prescribed medicine which had me fixed up a few days after that. Brilliant. Waits for an ENT specialist here in Canada are 18 months.

Kaunas has loads to see & entrance prices were very...

Kaunas has loads to see & entrance prices were very reasonable. The Presidents Palace and the Town Hall exhibitions were particularly interesting. The ‘avenue’ was very nice to walk along. Food, drink, coffee & cake prices were very good (cheap).
