It feels safe. 5th Ave is like a beach boardwalk with many places to eat, drink, and shop. Lots of good food. Prices were often somewhat high. Most of the beaches were small and not great, but there is a good beach.

The restaurant needs better management, Service was terrible most of the guests had to wait almost 2 hours to be served with breakfast. I got tired of that service and started to have breakfast, a better breakfast somewhere else.

This is a nice sized gated community.
This is a nice sized gated community. Comfortable for walking to restaurants & beaches. Street lighting made walking home comfortable, safe environment. Many great restaurants to choose from around the marina.

Also rented a car to go around the island, and stopped at many sites.
We went on a 4 hr snorkeling tour, make sure to have a good snorkel gear or they provide for you.
For people who are vegetarian, make sure to ask if they cook with lard or oil.

Third visit to PDC and I would not return.
Third visit to PDC and I would not return. Whilst the restaurants in the centre are expensive, the quality of food was quite poor. We only had one good meal out but were constantly charged high prices for beer and wine. Hidden service charges appeared on bills that were not pointed out so we often paid twice.
The seaweed situation, even in February, was very off putting. It looks and smells awful which meant we didn’t spend much time at the beach which would usually be the point of our holiday.
The ridiculously high prices at Cancun airport just summed up our trip. Well done - we will stick with Europe next time.

Cozumel differs greatly from Cancun.
Cozumel differs greatly from Cancun. It is more welcoming and down to earth. Lots of great restaurants and the people of Cozumel and very nice. Lots to do. We went scuba diving everyday with Aldora Divers.

A fun place to visit and explore.
A fun place to visit and explore. Nice to relax by the beaches or walk around town. Lots of restaurants and cafes. The bike paths are improving and the local bike rental app works well enough, just keep an eye on the policies and follow their rules or they will make charges.

What a cool spot!
What a cool spot! We are definitely not the all inclusive resort kind of travelling family. So when we stumbled upon Puerto Adventuras, we were hapily impressed. There was so much to do within walking distance. There is a park, kids camps, beautiful beaches, swimming pools, amazing choice restaurants, and an overall really cool vibe.
I liked it because although it felt like - yes this is definitely an international tourist destination - it also felt grounded and down to earth. In addition to the travellers who pass through, many people live and work in Puerto Adventuras giving it a really lovely family neighbourhood feel.

If you love the sea, snorkeling and diving this is the right place for you. Fabulous sea world and fun divers brother/sisterhood.
The island is also visited by many big cruise ships and that changes the intimate feel of some locations when those ships are inn.
