Great location, the place is clean and best value for your money. What comes to be the best, is the Customer Service from the people working at the place, specially Betty, she is the best.

Playa is very good for eating and people-watching.

Playa is very good for eating and people-watching. I found it good for walking about at all hours. Prices have gone up since my last visit six years ago, but it is still possible to winkle-out a good deal.

The restaurant needs better management, Service was terrible most of the guests had to wait almost 2 hours to be served with breakfast. I got tired of that service and started to have breakfast, a better breakfast somewhere else.

This is a nice sized gated community. Comfortable for walking to restaurants & beaches. Street lighting made walking home comfortable, safe environment. Many great restaurants to choose from around the marina.

Cozumel differs greatly from Cancun.

Cozumel differs greatly from Cancun. It is more welcoming and down to earth. Lots of great restaurants and the people of Cozumel and very nice. Lots to do. We went scuba diving everyday with Aldora Divers.

I found Playa del Carmen moderately to highly touristy.

I found Playa del Carmen moderately to highly touristy. The central downtown with all the restaurants with safe to walk around and amusing to people watch. There was enormous variety of places to eat and drink, mostly catering to tourist tastes. I used the ADO bus terminal which is very centrally located and well staffed.

If you love the sea, snorkeling and diving this is the right place for you. Fabulous sea world and fun divers brother/sisterhood. The island is also visited by many big cruise ships and that changes the intimate feel of some locations when those ships are inn.

Love Playa.

Love Playa. Singular Dreams is located in a perfect area that is walkable and about 2 blocks from the beach. The building is starting to be in disrepair. Pool tiles are all over the place, the plaster is coming off of the building. The water pressure in the showers is minimal. We were without power one day for about 14 hours and no water either. The towels were very shabby. The help was amazing. The side of the steps to enter and leave the building is a glass wall. Two panels were shattered and we were there for 16 days and they were not replaced.

What a cool spot!

What a cool spot! We are definitely not the all inclusive resort kind of travelling family. So when we stumbled upon Puerto Adventuras, we were hapily impressed. There was so much to do within walking distance. There is a park, kids camps, beautiful beaches, swimming pools, amazing choice restaurants, and an overall really cool vibe. I liked it because although it felt like - yes this is definitely an international tourist destination - it also felt grounded and down to earth. In addition to the travellers who pass through, many people live and work in Puerto Adventuras giving it a really lovely family neighbourhood feel.

I have been visiting Cozumel for 15 years, for diving.

I have been visiting Cozumel for 15 years, for diving. While the people are friendly and the number of good restaurants has increased over that time, unfortunately the reef has been degraded effecting the diving experience. Its is my contention the powers that control Cozumel care more about making money from cruise ships than the environment, local people or infrastructure of Cozumel.
