This is not in the town centre but in my
view was in a good location. It was close
to the best mountain hike in town and
the long distance buses stop right
outside. The car charger was also very
handy. The rooms and the facilities were
the best I have experienced in the 2 I have been in Europe.

Pretty city in an amazing environment.
Pretty city in an amazing environment. We stayed here on a Sunday so everything was unfortunately closed besides the bar and turist shops.
I would have loved to explore more both in and around the city !

Please do not go to Scandinavia Hotel, the manager of the place is simply not human, did not compromise on a small mistake we made in the booking, they do not answer the phones and there was not a single person at the reception, simply a terrible experience.

The location, view and the cabin itself were amazing!
The cabin has everything you need, the living room is very spacious and its view with the terrace and the fireplace sitting in front are a big plus. It's serene, you can easily feel like moving back in time over there.

The cabin offers stunning view of fjords and sea with snow on the rocks and balcony, this adds some magic to our stay. The build-in sauna is great family together moments in a heat & sweaty room, which was fun. We plan to visit other attractions nearby, but with the comfort and the view Lyngvaeret has to offer, we decide to relax at "home" and enjoy home cook meals instead.

Good facilities, the guy at the Tourist Info was very good, but it felt a little... functional? There's so many great places to stay that maybe look twice? Henningsvaer has a more attractive character, for example.

I was there with my husband and sons 16 and 18.
I was there with my husband and sons 16 and 18. There was so much to do, indoor (sauna, tabletennis, badmintonfield) and outdoor (hikes, kanoeing, motorboat, swimming) activities. But if you are over 180cm you need to consider that the only areas in de cabin where you can stand up straight are the kitchen area (including diningtable) and the bathroom. You need to walk around bent over in the livingroom and sleeping attic. Maybe they have different cabins with a higher ceiling, you should check, because we loved the place in spite of this obstacle.

There is not as much to do on a weekend as many facilities...
There is not as much to do on a weekend as many facilities are closed. Sunday is the worse day to spend in Svolvaer. If you have money do some trips out of the harbour like kayaking RIB excursion or fishing. If not you should do the Svolvaergeita walk. The tourist info centre is OK but promotes commercial trips mostly.
