Located in Renwick, Cork And Keg offers 4-star accommodations with a garden, a restaurant and a bar. There's a grill and guests can use free WiFi and free private parking. We loved this little pub/motel in the heart of Marlborough wine country. We chose it because we were taking the intercoastal ferry from Wellingtin to Picton and wanted to rent bicycles to go to some wineries. The Cork and Keg was perfect as we had booked our bikes with Wine Tours by Bike which was walking distance away (a great bike rental place BTW). We enjoyed dinner at the pub as well. There are some cooking facilities but not full kitchen in the unit, but enough fir a light meal/breakfast. Room was spacious, clean and great value. Really enjoyed.
Renwick (2.4 miles from Marlborough Airport)
Set within beautiful, manicured gardens this bed and breakfast is located in Renwick and offers free WiFi, free bicycle hire and full English breakfast each morning. This was a great place. The house was dripping with heritage, but the welcome, furnishing and quality of comfort and service was certainly not vintage. The room features were amazing and I even had my own living room to relax and chill in. The breakfast was the best I have had in New Zealand. I loved the local knowledge of the wine tour and the bike hire was a great addition for getting around.

Offering a garden, Walnut Block Cottages is located in Blenheim. Picton is 15 mi from the property. Guests can enjoy a walk through the vineyard to Rock Ferry Cellar Door. We absolutely loved how beautifully laid out the cottage was and the homely touches such as breakfast, chocolates, and a bottle of wine. We truly had everything we needed for a relaxed stay, with the added bonus of being able to wake up among the Vines and got some incredible sunsets and sunrise! We could not fault anything, and may have found a new home away from when staying in Blenheim.
Renwick is a lovely small town/settlement only 7-8 minutes south of Woodbourne/Blenheim Airport and 10 minutes from Blenheim township. In Blenheim itself, there are a good variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars and a very good Event Cinema. The best Mexican Restaurant in town is The Cartel, but sadly, not for much longer! Unfortunately the owners are changing to another style of cuisine and will be no longer offering their excellent Mexican foods and beverages. That is a great pity :-(
Renwick was just lovely. Flat and easy to bicycle around. Scenery stunning. Weather was kind. Blue skies and not too cool. Wonderful place to taste wine, beer and enjoy great food. Do t forget to visit the Heritage Aircraft Centre which was just fabulous and quite a mind blowing collection of WWI and WWII memorabilia. Wonderfully displayed. Diaramas were really terrific. World class. We lived the histories and personal stories, I am sure others would love the planes and the engines.
The homestay is in an excellent location. Walking distance for dinner to an excellent vineyard if required. Gardens were well kept and quiet, All facilities were excellent. Some special touches were the robes for the swimming pool and big bowl of fresh fruit on arrival.
Great place to spend a couple of nights amongst the vines tasting wines & experiencing the golden mile produce. The hydroponic strawberries are to dye for. Fabulous daytime food at the wineries (limited evening dinning) Handy to downtown Blenheim, highly recommend staying.
My stay was cut short due to Covid =lockdown, however the 2 nights i spent here was great, would recommend this hotel to others. Very clean spacious and well located for vineyards. Opposite a café and shop area. 10 minutes drive to Blenheim or 7 to Renwick. Friendly locals and welcoming to solo travellers.
