The hosts were fantastic. Very welcoming and inviting. I arrived around midnight, I did not want to wake the hosts so I decided to walk over 3 miles to get from the docks to the hostel. Being such a small island, someone contacted the hosts (unbeknownst to me) and let them know I was walking… They picked me up around one in the morning and saved me about 2 miles of walking. Super friendly. A decent place to snorkel (relatively speaking based on my Snorkeling experience on this Motu) is right across from the hostel. BTW, the best place IMO (on this Motu) is “the aquarium “ … you’ll need to hire a small boat to get you there though. Super clear and tons of fish.

It was great having free bicycles at our disposal with safety vest and lights. The private beach was a big plus too. And the laundry machine.

We loved our stay here! We found everything clean and organized. There was a bottle of Tahitian wine, 2 typical necklaces and very charming towels arrangement upon arrival! So lovely touches! We had almost all we needed to cook some meals and breakfast! It was a dream to have our meals on the porch table with the lagoon view! Everything worked properly. The house was silent and we slept very well! Cintia was always easy to contact and ready to help in any matter. Having bikes is huge bonus. We went everywhere in Avatoru with them. To reach the water from the house you have to walk over some rocks and reefs, so don’t forget your water shoes. Once in the water, you can have nice snorkeling experience! Also we literally walked from the airport to the house. It was very easy!

Very peaceful and quiet. Great location. The host and their family were very friendly, helpful and thoughtful people. We would definitely recommend staying there. They also offer excursions. We stayed in the overwater bungalow and it was fabulous. Clean, comfortable bungalow with a breathtaking view. So fun swimming off our private dock (careful at night though, we spotted a shark!). The rainshower was amazing and the bath products, so luxurious. We appreciate that the resort was smaller than others in Polynesia and not overcrowded. We liked the complimentary access to snorkeling gear and kayaks. We went scuba diving with Blue Velvet (by The 6 Passengers) located on the premises. Food was great, the buffet for the Polynesian show night was yummy! Also, if you want to stay longer after check out, they offer a “transit” bungalow to shower in. It is a pricey stay but worth it for a special occasion!
