Outstanding experience. Although I was new to the Philippines, I quickly learned that it was a good location. The neighbors were friendly and helpful. I wanted to meet with Illusion during my stay to discuss checkout procedures and other matters. He came to the apartment to meet with me directly. The stay exceeded our expectations. Transportation was convenient to and from the apartment.
Transportation was convenient to and from the apartment. Very cost effective. I learned of and utilized "tricycles" and "multi cabs". This was easy for me since I was in the company of a lady who spoke the local language. I recommend use of a translator or as I did, a special friend who speaks the language.
I also disagree with booking.coms 3 out of 5 review. That is a low score compared to my experience.

Only stayed overnight as we were traveling from Surigao down...
Only stayed overnight as we were traveling from Surigao down to Pantukan wanted to break up the long drive south ! Butuan was a very busy city and lots of traffic. smog was bad due to the heat and high volume if traffic .We only visited the mall which was like every other mall ! We went to a pizza restaurant looking for alternative and guess what they only had pizza available everything else was off the menu ! But far play the pizza was awesome and very filling ! So 10/10 guys

My hometown, Butuan City is now progressive compared when we left in 1983.It has now big malls like SM and Robinsons; many hotels are also mushrooming and there are a lot of fast food chains and local restaurants offering good food.
