Well situated, easy to reach, the hotel location offers the parking right in front of the entrance, but also on the back of the hotel. The EV chargers are also located in the back parking and accessible by charging app.
Generous buffet breakfast, clean and spacious rooms, supportive staff.
Excellent stay for one night (we were in transit anyway).

Skellefteå is a town with an intriguing history.
Skellefteå is a town with an intriguing history. A pretty town on the banks of a large river.
The view across the river of the beautiful main church has been obscured by an ugly multi-story parking garage. Who thought up that damaging action?
The town is currently in the grips of street optimization. The narrowing of the main East-West street, is questionable and will soon cause traffic congestion.
The station is still in place, but no rail traffic goes there apart from goods !! The infrastructure around the railway and station needs to be optimized and take advantage of the existence of a rail link to the rest of Sweden and the outside World.

I stayed 5 days, mid September, for a conference and had...
I stayed 5 days, mid September, for a conference and had some free time. When it wasn't raining, I enjoyed beautiful walks along the river (4 hour circuit), and I ran to the coast (12 km away), and through forestry roads. Easy returns by public transport as the busses are frequent and accept credit card. I did not need Swedish money at all during my stay. The town museum is a must see, even if small, and you should visit the historical part of town, which is nearby. I confess to only having eaten asian food while in town. I did not identify a restaurant with Swedish food, which I would have liked to try.
