We had good fun at the Shooting range, Winter Garden and He Ping Village to be precise.
Food at Baan Khun Chay Amphor Restaurant was really good.
We drove from KL hence it was easy to get around.

A fantastic trip to Betong!
A fantastic trip to Betong! The local food scene was a definite highlight, with the famous chicken rice and fresh seafood from the night market being unforgettable. Beyond the culinary delights, the town's unique landmarks like the iconic clock tower, the big mailbox, and the unique hand gesture architecture on the hilltop provided plenty of amazing photo opportunities. For a dose of tranquility and breathtaking views, the misty sea in the morning was a spectacular experience, offering a refreshing start to the day. The journey was completed with a walk through the historical Pyamit tunnel, adding a fascinating historical layer to the trip. Betong truly offers a perfect blend of delicious food, cultural sights, and natural beauty.

A busy, relatively affluent border town, with a lot of...
A busy, relatively affluent border town, with a lot of tourists from Malaysia but few from elsewhere. The town centre is busy with shoppers, the nearest mall is quite far away in Malaysia. I didn't see another Westerner during my visit. High in the hills, it is a little cooler than surrounding lowlands. Interesting history, with the hills near the border being a hide out for the Communist Party go Malaysia for many years.
