The room was the highlight for me, as it was very spacious, and the bathroom was also large. The only downside is that the nearest MRT station is about a 15-minute walk away, which makes the location a little less convenient.

My stay was concentrated in the older part of the city. Overall quite a couple of interesting places to visit. "Lin, Chih-Chu Memorial", "National Taiwan Museum of Comics" and "Taichung Literature Museum". There's also quite a number of interesting cafes but I didn't have the time to try them out. But I did visit "Mamonaku Cafe" at "Taichung Station Railway Cultural Park". A must visit for any train or railway enthusiast. Do visit with a group of 2 or 3 if you want to secure a more instagram worthy seating. I was alone and tried to request to change seat, but they said they had to reserve the seats in question for bigger groups. Reasonable considering they only have about 6 to 7 tables. Oh and do drop by this store called "TR鐵道故事館 新烏日店" if you're visiting the city via High Speed Rail (HSR). It's located at Xinwuri Station, which is a transit station for Taichung HSR Station. Lots of train merch. Also do note that there seemed to have quite a number of homeless people hanging around Taichung Station (Not HSR) and along the Green River trail. They didn't do anything that bothers or causes harm to me, but still something to take note of.

Best of Taichung's tourist attractions are well separated; some need 30-60 mins travel. Taichung Main Station area is worth exploring on foot, and there are likely other areas. City is modern, with many neighborhoods showing their age, giving the city much character and hinting strongly at long past daily lifestyles.
