The cabin was more than we expected. Very modern and very clean. We felt like we were at a 5 star hotel with every detail from the shower and sink's having beautiful fixtures. The Bed was very comfortable in its own bedroom. The living room had a electric fireplace and large sized flat screen TV. They had provided coffee creamer sugar and a bottle of champagne. These were in nice mason jars and was plenty to keep you stocked for a week stay. They really did go the extra mile to ensure you felt welcomed and relaxed. The were very quick to respond to any request we had and were very polite and gracious. Would recommend this stay to any one looking for a great quiet relaxing getaway. We will book again next time we need a getaway.

Terry is a wonderful and very friendly host, greeting us with home made cookies every day and delicious breakfast in the morning. The house is very cozy, comfortable and beautifully decorated, with large common spaces on the first floor. The location is quiet and we enjoyed the large yard with sweeping views of the lake. Would warmly recommend Maguire House for a getaway to a picturesque part of Massachusetts!

If you want a little bit of history, this is your place. Its very being is steeped in history going back over 200 years. It is a delightful old family house expertly converted into a B&B and furnished with period furniture. The owners are delightful and are very welcoming. Breakfast was exceptional with the best bacon so far in the three weeks of our stay here! Highly recommended.

Jaffrey had a couple of nice restaurants but generally, it's not the draw. We stayed at the quaint Benjamin Prescott Inn which is close to Peterborough, Mt Monadnock, and many hiking & biking trails. The room was comfortable with a small bathroom. Breakfast is bagels, pastries, and coffee; don't expect typical B&B interactions and service, it's more like an Air BnB that way. The grounds are lovely but it is right on the road, so if you don't want any traffic noise, it's not for you. We were looking for a nice low-matenance getaway for a reasonable price, so we were pleased.

Pub had good food and was reasonably priced. Grounds are nice. Rooms are old and need updating. The linens on one of our beds were stained. When I reported this to the staff upon checkout, the could not have cared less. No apology.

Great bookstore- Toadstool Books, Peterborough and Keene, NH. I attended a booksigning- I met some great people, possible job ? even to look into. There are many great places to eat in the central city district.

We weren’t looking to do any activities…we wanted a cozy place stay for travel sports. I’m not sure what “fun” things are around but we were happy having at the B&B and walking to dinner at the Mexican place!

The beautiful scenery, the wonderful warm people, the food...

The beautiful scenery, the wonderful warm people, the food and the Prescott Inn, where we stayed. We ate at Emma’s restaurant. The menu was extensive and the entrees were delicious. Getting around Jeffrey was easy br car. I would love to return when the leaves start to turn.

Beautiful, well cared for Inn, with modern conveniences. We ate at the restaurant at the Inn, which was so welcoming. Loved the live classical guitarist! The menu had only one vegan dish on it however. As with most historic inns, the wall are very thin, so you are at the mercy of the manners of the other guests. The room was warm and cozy and the bed was very comfortable. I got a good night's sleep. We would return again, if we are in the area.

Very nice town with a nice downtown area.

Very nice town with a nice downtown area. There are several nice restaurants and a number of unique shops. There is a nice park next to a waterfall as well. The people we encounter in the restaurants and shops are very friendly and welcoming.

We love the Inn for its cleanliness, comfort and friendly...

We love the Inn for its cleanliness, comfort and friendly service. The accommodations were great and Jarvis made sure we were comfortable. The local Mexican restaurant practically next door was excellent. We ordered food and brought it to our son's home to share with them.

Since we were traveling 7 hours from Staten Island, we were...

Since we were traveling 7 hours from Staten Island, we were ready to relax when we arrived at the Inn. It was very welcoming, as we had been there once before, and Carla, the Caretaker, was friendly and we were happy to see her. Our room, with a king size bed, soft lighting and spacious, was just what we needed. The handy grocery store just a couple of hundred feet away, had just about anything you would have forgotten to pack. There is a Mexican restaurant within walking distance as well.
