The staff is very friendly. Yes, this hotel hasn't been renovated for a long time. The equipment is outdated. But everything is in good working order and works perfectly. The rooms are also very clean.

Have been here over the last 4 years while granddaughter...

Have been here over the last 4 years while granddaughter attended VT. We usually stay at the Comfort Inn at Radford. Just disappointed about price outrageous I know you all to make a profit but 4 times regular price to bad their isn't a commitee to govern rates.

Don’t have to say much.

Don’t have to say much. We’re there for work purposes and accomplished and left. But as it is closer to Virginia Tech university which is about 15minutes driving away from Blacksburg, I would say it’s a good option to stay.

Quaint little college town.

Quaint little college town. I thought it might be noisy being in a college town but it was quiet and felt safe. I only stayed long enough to get some rest and then hit the road again, but I do wish I could have stayed longer and experienced more of Radford. It has a small town vibe and I can imagine a nice community.

The only reason I didn't give a higher rating to Blacksburg...

The only reason I didn't give a higher rating to Blacksburg was due to our arrival date. We arrived the night before Thanksgiving and almost every restaurant and bar was closed -- no place to eat in town (if we had known, we would've simply planned to eat at the hotel since the restaurant there looked very nice). We eventually did find an open microbrewery with a very good menu and a friendly, knowledgeable bartender. I wish I could remember the name to give them a shout out! But having graduated from VA Tech, I will always love Blacksburg!

Check-in was fast.

Check-in was fast. The lady at the check-in counter was friendly and answered all of my questions. Clean, quiet, great breakfast. The lady that was keeping the breakfast foods filled was also friendly and helpful.

We choose Radford to stay as it was a convenient place to...

We choose Radford to stay as it was a convenient place to stay , on our trip, enroute Woodbridge Virginia for family reunion. My goal was to drive approximately 15 hours, first day of travel. Radford met that goal. Radford was impressive. Had a lot to offer those persons passing through. We arrived 9:30 pm. Slept. 9:30a next morning we stopped at McDonald's for breakfast, gas at Kroger and departed by 20am.

Great college town!

Great college town! If you're involved with Virginia Tech, this is probably one of the cleanest and best places! It is so easy to drive a few blocks to campus or walk seconds away from many places to eat, bank, shop, etc.

It was a quite comfortable stay and realistically could not had been much better,just a little better breakfast selection maybei.It'right at the center near Texas Roadhouse,Taco Bell and other places to numerous to list

I did not like that they were giving out keys to people...

I did not like that they were giving out keys to people without checking identification. A man next to me said he can’t get in his room. The front desk guy asked his room number and he gave it to him. The room was not his. He kept walking past our room and when we asked him he said the room key they gave him was a different room. Besides being unsafe the place is a health hazard. They fold the pillows in half and put them in the case. When we unfolded it we found blood stains on the pillow. Management has yet to call me or give a refund. Front desk staff was the only ones who seemed apologetic. New managers Mike and his general manager wife has yet to address this issue.
