United StatesI don't get luxury experiences very often and was at this hotel solely because my daughter's thought it looked like a castle and love hotels. The staff was super kind and patient. My daughter's had a great time and everything we had from the kitchen was fantastic. They are extremely picky eaters. It was an experience on its own

AustraliaFor the price you pay, Country Inn is excellent value. I have stayed in places for double the price that were not as good. Room was clean and a good size, beds were comfortable, and all the amenities you expect from a hotel stay were there. In addition, the free breakfast was actually very good with a decent variety. Location was very convenient - right near the main road, and there is plenty of parking spots. The staff were very friendly - Special mention to Latricia who checked us in at midnight. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Country Inn and would highly recommend

IrelandHotel, staff, room, facilities, location. Everything was perfect. Even the 9 bucks for parking was reasonable. Bed was super comfy and the shower was excellent. Bang in the middle of downtown Roanoke so close to everything. Staff were incredibly nice. Hotel itself was very classy, very unique. I highly recommend the transport museum round the corner if you're into that kind of thing. I could have stayed there all day.

Roanoke was a wonderful city.
Roanoke was a wonderful city. It had some aspects of it that felt like a city, but for the most part it had really cozy small-town vibes. We went to many different restaurants like Benny Marconi's Pizza, Six and Sky, and Corned Beef and Co. Pub, and they were all really good. The art museum was a highlight of the trip, we both loved it. Ultimately just a really nice city filled with cool shops, eats, and nice people.

Roanoke has changed for the better since I lived there 50 years ago. The downtown area has been seriously updated; be sure to visit the Transportation Museum for starters.
And, there are plenty of good restaurants to choose from that do not require the customer to refinance their house for the meal.

Roanoke, VA has NO CABS.
Roanoke, VA has NO CABS. You must get an Uber or Lift if you do not want to drive to a dinner destination. The hotel did not inform us that there would be a parade on Saturday, and many streets were closed as a result. So driving around wasn't easy.

Lots to do in Roanoke.
Lots to do in Roanoke. Bars, resteraunts and nearby wineries. Plenty of shopping with all the big names. Civic center close by as well as the airport within minutes. While not a huge city, Roanoke has everything you could want for a vacation visit. Highly recommend Smoky Bones at the mall entrance.

Enjoyed the Taubman Museum of art.
Enjoyed the Taubman Museum of art. Very friendly staff and it's extra nice that admission is FREE. Lots to look at after in the downtown area.
Had an amazing meal at Billy's, very reasonable prices and fantastic services.
Also got a chance to see the famous Roanoke Star, there is a good viewing point in the downtown parking lot, there is also historic signage showing other points of interest.

What an absolute gem of a town.
What an absolute gem of a town. It is super clean and quiet, although it is more than a town and already a small city! Family-friendly with LOADS of stimulating and educational things to do with kids of all ages. My wife did not want to leave the O. Winston Link museum, and once I got her to the Virginia Transport Museum, she wanted to linger longer. We did not even get to go to the town center or the art museum. I would suggest spending at least three nights and two full days here.

We were in Roanoke for my son's wedding and booked our room at Hotel Roanoke along with the wedding rehearsal dinner in the Regency Room. The guest room was clean and spacious. The dinner Friday night was superb and the wait staff was on point! Highly recommend you consider Hotel Roanoke when staying in Roanoke.
