It is very charming and well maintained. Inside was fantastic but most impressive was how well the outside area was maintained even in the biggest blizzard. The snow was cleared without any delays

It was really nice, modern and clean. We were traveling with a dog and there was a little doggie goodie bag waiting for us in the room. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to help us.

This was a incredible clean and comfortable hotel. Being a retired high voltage lineman, I have spent my fair share of nites in hotels thru out this country but I will say the room I had was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the staff was pleasant to talk to. Will stay here again next year

Hotel is close to MTU & you can walk to alot of nice little shops & restaurants. There’s a trail that below the hotel along the canal where you could walk or bike. Close to fishing & boating. Alot of opportunities depending on what you enjoy doing.

I always stop by Amy J's pastys to take some home with me. La Cantina is an excellent restaurant. We just love the area and have visited many times. Peterson's Fish market by the Quincy Mine, top of the hill for their smoked trout is a must go out and getcha sum now.

You have to see Shute’s at 322 6th Street, an 1890’s saloon that features a stunning Brunswick stained-glass canopy that overhangs the original backbar. A large mural was painted on the opposite wall of the bar depicting an interpretation of the historic Copper Country during its early mining days. This beautiful landmark is a local favorite that encourages historical storytelling among patrons from near and far. The beer garden is open on warm summer days.

Older hotel that’s pet friendly but difficult to find outside spot for dog to got to the bathroom. Expensive for what we got - tv didn’t work, could hear everything in our room… but in a good location to walk town and down by river.

On the water, so the occasional boat going by.
On the water, so the occasional boat going by. We ate around, trying only local places, and were not disappointed! Amy's seafood was great (just know there are no restrooms there). Milly's pizza (owner changed to the Orpheum) was also really good! I looked to Yelp for suggestions, and directions. Ate at several places in Houghton also, as they were open later. Can't miss the Library, Valerie's, or Suomi Cafe. We didn't have time for a few on our list, so maybe next time.
Watch all the one-way streets, so using the map apps is very helpful. Necessary, actually. Also, in the winter, the hills are a thing.
