The location is very near interest places, CVS, McDonald's, and the Airport.
But it is the free airport shuttle that I liked most!
Also I would like to express my sincerest gratitude for the Shuttle Driver and Receptionist (sorry I didnt get their names) because I left my handbag on the shuttle when I was dropped off the airport and all my IDs were there including my passport! (How reckless of me! I was so embarrased)
Since I am just visiting relatives, I didn't bother to get a local number so I had to ask my sister call the hotel and the receptionist was very quick to act in locating my bag and informing the driver.
The driver was a very very nice man who helped me carry my 2 big heavy luggages and returned back to the airport to hand me my bag. He did all these with a smile which was very comforting 😭
I really appreciate it! you have no idea how scared and helpless I was considering I was just alone and it was very cold. But your kindness really warmed my heart.

Alexandria is in the suburbs of Washington and at the end of the yellow Metro (tube) which has a park and ride facility which we used extensively during our stay. The Metro is inexpensive as is the car park with the car park being free to use at weekends. Washington center is easily reached, Capitol Building, Lincoln Memorial, etc. using the Yellow Line. Change to the Blue Line for Arlington Cemetery. Staying in Alexandria is cheaper than Washington and has many facilities, restaurants. I would not recommend trying to park a car in Washington itself.

Traveling to the hotel you get the chance to see the sights of Washington DC as you make your way through this amazing city. Traffic is horrible at times but that comes with the work life and other travelers around the city.

The staff was friendly and helpful while we were there (for one night).
We had to call back after the trip to try to find some lost keys. While the staff was again friendly and helpful when we got through, it took several tries (an annoying number). Each time the person answering would quickly put me on hold long enough that it seemed I was being ignored.
(without even being able to say why I was calling).
Don't expect to get through on the phone unless you call several times !

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Facility was clean and tidy. The towels were great. Parking costs extra but worth it because my car was safe and convenient. Nice to have a restaurant in the hotel but there were a couple of places near by for a quick bite.

I’ve been staying there for a while ; manager refused me an extra hour to check out , then kept calling the room giving me ultimatums , I felt so rushed and unwanted.
Then the lady who helped me store my luggage noticed that the bags were from the room ( I admitted that I took them in good faith since I’ve done it in other hotels )
She addressed me like I was a bum or a thief ;
She said : who told you you can take them ?
We’re taking them back .
I was humiliated, maybe she doesn’t like Arabs
Mind you she , herself , checked the same exact bags three times already and today she decided to treat me like a thief . Why didn’t she say anything before ??????

We didn’t really explore much in Oxon Hill, but there was a lot to do. Top Golf was next door to our hotel and it seemed to be a very popular attraction. The MGM was cool…shops, dining, Casino…what else is there to say? We spent the evening eating and taking in the sights there, pretty neat 👍. There’s an Outlet Mall for tons of shopping and just about every restaurant that you could imagine in the area. Wish we could have spent more time exploring Oxon Hill, maybe next time!

This is a city that I come back to time and again. There is so much to see and do that is free and for all ages. I walked so many places and when walking was not feasible, taking the Metro was a breeze. I walked from Union Station over to Capitol Hill, down Pennsylvania Avenue SE to Eastern Market and back. I tried to eat at the Dubliner Restaurant, but there was a 30 minute wait and I did not want to wait. This was the first trip in many that I did not make it to any of the monuments. I did visit Georgetown and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum which was truly excellent.
