Our room has a view of Saco river. It was clean. The bathroom was just the right size for three adults. The bed sheets were super clean but the bed was too soft for me. I like my bed firmer. The breakfast was included; it was delicious! Hot water for tea and coffee were available 24/7. They also served fresh - baked cookies in the afternoon. We tried the food in the restaurant which was served in the barn. The barn burger was worth it. These are all the things I like at Merrill.

Take a trip to the covered bridge. The road is off the beaten path but worth an hour of long forgotten objects from the past. If you have a kayak-great place to drop in the river as a start/ending point.

Lovell is the jewel of western Maine.
Lovell is the jewel of western Maine. One of my favorite places on earth. Beautiful Lake Kezar--almost 10 miles of crystal blue water for all kinds of water sports from fishing to water skiing. Stunning view of the Presidential Range of New Hampshire including Mt Washington. Great locals, fun places to visit. Easy day hikes very close by. I would live there all year but I don't like snow that much!

This is a major spot for outdoor enthusiasts. Mount Washington is incredible, and there are mountains, rivers, trails, and falls everywhere. Cute downtown with shops, very nice community feeling. Go for the hiking, trails, and nature and enjoy the coffee shops, ice cream, and attractions as well.

We live in NH and enjoy hiking and the beautiful mountains in our state. The views of Mt. Washington and the surrounding mountains are fantastic. Good restaurants to enjoy also. You can visit the Mt. Washington hotel and enjoy the surrounding views threre. They have zip-lining, golf, and you can ride a gondola to the top of Bretton Woods ski area. Lots to do and enjoy in this town!

It was very nice, many shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, we could not experience the train ride at this time, however the shopping was good. Our faves were Zeb's Country Store for shopping and our favorite restaurants were Banners and Delaneys.
