Great service. I had to cancel the second night due to the time on the road in a snowstorm and the owners agreed. They are very hospitable, polite and honest. Cozy place, comfortable, quiet room. Beautiful hotel well located near the sea and restaurants. Delicious breakfast.

Exceptional hotel beautifully kept up to date keeping the vintage decoration. But most unique was their support when my daughter got sick. Offering a late check out really helped us manage the situation without worrying about where to stay. Top team🔝

We loved the small towns in around Mt. Desert Island.
Bar Harbor

We loved the small towns in around Mt. Desert Island. We went to Seal Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Bass Harbor, and Southwest Harbor. We e-biked the Carriage roads, took a Puffin and Lighthouse boat tour, which also included whale sightings, and went to the top of Cadillac Mountain. We took a Premium bus tour to explore all of Acadia and visited Jordan Pond. Bar Harbor had a lot to offer and we ate at a different lobster restaurant every night. We even tried pizza at Rosalies (but probably wouldn't recommend it due to the absolute self-serve experience). We shopped in the local stores and rode the Island Explorer. We walked Sand Beach and the sand bar bridge to Bar Island. We visited Thunder hole at high tide. There is so much to do, but five days was a good length of stay to experience it all.

Old Orchard Beach

My family enjoyed taking walks on in the beach, jumping waves in the ocean, visiting Palace Playland (the amusement park), getting ice cream, watching the fireworks, etc. A lot of great restaurants as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the food.

Portland

We were in town for a show at the State Theatre, conveniently located across the street from the Westin Harborview. Along the way, we saw many intriguing landmarks, several beautiful churches, and a plethora of fun, eclectic shops and restaurants. I would have loved to stay much longer.

Ogunquit is perfect for walking vacations.
Ogunquit

Ogunquit is perfect for walking vacations. Rte1, the main street that runs through it, is loaded with shops, crafts, a little market with prepared and make-to-go food options, dining and drinking establishments, hotels and motels. It is a cute, busy village. Perkins Cove is down a side street (Shore Rd.). It is a lovely scenic area with shops and dining options, places to sit and watch the ocean or the boaters coming in and out and the fishermen loading and unloading. One to several hour cruises are available to the public. Nearby is the entrance to the Marginal Way, a paved walking area - 1.25 miles along a cliff to Ogunquit Beach. Perkins Cove is worth visiting just to catch the views from all angles.

Bangor

Bangor was interesting and had some nice historic places. Shopping and coffee in the old section was nice. The traffic was slow and a bit tedious in the morning. We drove through on our way out of town and didn't have time for shopping and getting more familiar with Bangor.

I was visiting a friend in Kennebunkport.
Wells

I was visiting a friend in Kennebunkport. The travel was a little distance so going back and forth took some time. Liked the area because there were things to do. I'm a big breakfast person. Not enough breakfast places around to accommodate all the people visiting the area. Even being alone, it was a wait each morning. Would like to see all the breakfast places open all day (not till just 2:00 or 3:00 p.m.). Traveling alone, I'd prefer these type of places rather than high end dining in the evening.

Boothbay Harbor

I thought the location of Boothbay Harbor was superb, classic Maine - the people were helpful and friendly the food was spectacular . We visited the aquarium which was educational and perfect for young children and the afternoon at the Botanical Gardens was really wonderful. Our last dinner in Boothbay was at the Spruce Point Inn the food and location were a fitting end to our stay.

Camden

One of the most beautiful places I've ever visited in the US. So many good places to eat, have coffee and eat locally made ice cream, Also, take a sailboat cruise on one of the many antique schooners. I loved the OLAD. The harbor is so beautiful, and oh so many shops to take your money! It's worth it though. happy hour at the Harbor Side Hotel bar lobby is the best. We stayed for dinner and was so pleased.
