As seasoned travellers from the UK we came across this little gem after stopping off the Amtrak station. The manager Ansh was fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us. The Victorian room was beautiful and very unique. The history and memorabilia in the hotel was very unique. La plata was a very special place for us and this property is just perfect would definitely recommend to any travellers!

This Central Brookfield motel is 2 hours’ drive east of Kansas City, Missouri and 10 miles from the Walt Disney Hometown Museum. It is renovated yet retains some vintage features. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was clean, quiet, comfortable, and I felt safe. Had frig and microwave.
