I was totally left alone. The reason I went was to be alone and they obliged. I was comfortable and had hot water so no complaints there. The staff had even remembered me from the previous year and we're all very pleasant with smiles everytime I passed by. I never ate the breakfast so I have no knowledge of it. Bring an xbox/ps or something because the TV channels don't work the best. Adequate but not great.
Overall, if you want to relax and be left alone, this is it. Nothing super fancy but not sleeping on stains either, if you know what I mean.

hotel was dirty. changed rooms as the first one had a dirty bed. The staff didn't care and made no apology. Breakfast was good, so clearly it was the mid shift that had bad attitudes and no customer service. 'I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Desoto is a small town halfway between Lawrence, KS and the larger Kansas City metro area. I’m a parent of a student going to University of Kansas. I stay in Desoto because it is a very conveniently located, budget friendly location compared to the more expensive options in Lawrence.

This is an old hotel that has had some renovations.
This is an old hotel that has had some renovations. It is poorly managed with some inoperable lights in the room. The pool was closed. A security door to the interior does not lock all the time. Some of the lights in the hallway were out. There was a Roch (Bug) by the automatic pancake make during breakfast. I asked the clerk to have the manager call me and gave them my phone number but they did not. There are much better Hotels Kansas to stay at similar pricing.

Was just Okay.
Was just Okay. Needs some updating -- bed & pillows were needing to be replaced. Room darkening drapes would not shut. Had a small microwave & refrigerator. The couch in the room needed to be replaced as well-- sat IN it, instead of ON it -- difficult to get out of. Breakfast & breakfast facilities were very nice - as was the lobby area.

Quick Trip. Expected more out of the area. I do not plan on coming back for business. Very disappointed! Hooters was disappointing. The wings were small and not good. Twin Peaks had great fish on Friday.

This Motel is too far away from downtown Olathe.
This Motel is too far away from downtown Olathe. Their only two restaurants you can walk to with no sidewalks. Any further and you have to cross a major higway just to get fast food, I used to work off of Santa Fe Road years ago. It was much too far to walk to. I made a mistake reserving a room at the Paolo, Kansas exit. I am sure it is great for truck Driver just trying to get a nights sleep. Or kids who want to swim indoors, but no restaurant or bar made this an upleasant stay for a single male not on business but just waiting for the next move. Never again

The first room I was placed in smelled like mold and it was a lot of moisture in the room. I attempted to try and spray the room with air freshener it did not work. Also there was not batteries in the remote. I went to the desk and asked for another the the young man that was there was pretty nice and he moved us. However this room was still not a 10. If you needed to a quick place to sleep then this is it but if you want a clean room where you are comfortable stay away!
