The hotel is in a great location.
The hotel is in a great location. Yes, the street is a main thoroughfare but there was a Raley's, Starbucks, and other dining and retail options within easy walking distance. Staff was terrific, accommodations comfortable.

Although this area is next to an airport; it is not what I thought it would be. The whole area looked vintage, including the road, most places closed up early like before 9 PM, even to food places, if your flight came in late and you need something to eat, I don't think you can get anything around that area.

Lots of restaurants and bars right next to the pier. Would recommend Paradise Bowls and Breadhead for lunch and afternoon snacks. There are dozens of beach volleyball courts adjacent to the pier on either side, but you may need to bring lines for some of the courts.

No frill, but great value for 1 night in town.
Nothing much around, restaurants or otherwise.
Getting around requires a car or taxi. We tried the bus for the experience and quickly called a Uber to go back to the airport.

This location is great for just passing through LAX onto...
This location is great for just passing through LAX onto another destination. Not close enough to the beach or shopping to walk so alternate transportation is required. There were several restaurants within walking distance (across the street) of the hotel and a 24-hr convenience store next door. You could take the Metro train from the airport to this location if luggage isn't an issue for you. Get off at the El Segund Blvd stop then walk west about 1/2 block and you are there. Very clean hotel and comfortable room and bed. We had problem getting the free shuttle from the airport, so perhaps call the hotel with your arrival status for better results. We waited an hour before using other transportation instead.

Santa Monica Pier...the bridge is under construction, so don't expect what you seen in videos.
Griffith Observatory is a must. LA Natuaral History Museum is beautiful.
Rodeo Drive is a unique experience.
Walk of Fame was a disappointment. Dirty, full with homeless, stars are not respected. :-(

I really enjoyed the restaurants and bars (Shellback Tavern, Esperanza, Hennesey's, etc.), all of which were in relatively close proximity. My only gripe is the parking situation, which can be challenging to find a spot when it gets busy. Overall, I enjoyed Manhattan Beach and plan on returning in the near future.

It was a horrible, unsafe place; the whole place smelled of marijuana. It was inhabited by drug users; the rooms smelled musty, and the stairs and balconies were dirty and covered in pigeon droppings. The parking areas and other spaces were occupied by people smoking. We couldn't sleep and felt unsafe.

We love staying at this location, because it is close by...
We love staying at this location, because it is close by other restaurants and markets that you can walk. This location is excellent for not having to get up so early for an early flight at LAX. The shuttle service is a huge plus for us as well. It’s nice to have a little breakfast before we have to leave. This is our go to lodging when we fly out of LAX.

Very convenient to variety stores and transportation buses and trains on time and beautiful weather in the morning and night time, no humidity and the afternoon is little hot from the sun light and very roomy spaces in public but it’s very sad to see a lot of homeless on streets and sleeping on streets. Some streets have a lot garbage items on the streets, it should encourage stores and residents to make it clean.

The hotel was great for us after landing at nearby LAX and spending a couple of days near the beach area of Santa Monica/Venice these were about 15 min walk. Found a great cafe Tartine up the road.

A very comfortable hotel not to far from LAX, Santa Monica, Beverley hills and Rodeo drive. Rooms were well decorated with everything needed. The beds were comfy and all in all a great place to stay. There is also a nice pool area and a cafe with a very good restaurant.

Prices are very reasonable. I was satisfied with the bed and bathroom. The location is fairly convenient for visiting many Los Angeles attractions. From the hotel, I used Uber to get to Union Station, and from Union Station it was easy to use trains and other public transport to reach places such as Hollywood, Disneyland (one bus directly go to Disneyland), Universal Studios, and the Walk of Fame. Union Station also has a convenient airport bus service to LAX, which made travelling to the airport much easier.

The hotel is clean.The room was cleaned daily and the linen changed. A small gym but very convenient for fitness enthusiasts. Eating places available are available nearby. The hourly courtesy shuttle vehicle to LAX Airport makes life seamless for travellers. Breakfast is good.

We have stayed here a few times now. It is primarily a business hotel, surrounded by busy roads with no nearby facilities. But we like it as generally we haven't had an issue with noise. The hotel has the facilities you may need. It's convenient for LAX and Culver City and Santa Monica are within an easy taxi journey. So overall we like the combination of coat, location and facilities.

gorgeous boutique hotel right next to LAX. we enjoyed the pool and restaurant too. the room was filled with Aesop products and handy items like a clothes steamer :)
