Love Lubbock . Easy to get around in. Lots of shopping. I was here for medical purposes but there are many family adventures available. Great support for Texas Tech University, concerts. Very good medical care available too.

Lubbock is a highly underrated city in Texas.

Lubbock is a highly underrated city in Texas. For those on a roadtrip somewhere, it's worth making a stop here to enjoy some of the amenities--from Texas Tech to the many public art installations to Prairie Dog Town (must be seen) to the Buddy Holly Center, the Buddy Holly Museum, and the incredible First Friday art events. I wouldn't call it a destination vacation spot, but we will miss our visits now that our kid has graduated from Tech!

Very pretty, too windy, falling rocks, my 30 yo son was not...

Very pretty, too windy, falling rocks, my 30 yo son was not liking the drive..😂 We drove through a bad storm, lots of hard rain, thunder, lightning, of course windmill ranch visioning final destination, 😂, in the dark evening time. Road lines gone, wind pushing you while you try to keep it from falling rocks..😂 Yes Momma enjoyed every minute of him fussing, because now HE WAS driving. Leaving was awesome, we saw gophers in Every yard coming out to greet the sun, and it was a beautiful sight in the morning sun, made us wish we had stayed longer. Only it's 12 hour trip for us Cajuns, from right on The gulf. We enjoyed a lot of amenities through being family of the bride, We lost Dad last year, so baby brother gave her away, older brother was the official that performed the marriage. Grandson was ring bearer, you took care of a precious crew for her/ our special weekend. You know we had parties, meets, and rehearsal and wedding all in one weekend, you gave us rest, quiet, pool food, TV, veg out. Whew..back home we went with great memories and ideas of coming back. Buddy Holly, I never knew.🥰
