The location is excellent - right around the corner from Texas Capitol and just down the road from a wide range of places to eat. In July, a lot of the sights were a little far to walk but in cooler weather it would probably be okay. Most of the staff were friendly though there were a couple that didn't respond to greetings. The rooms were very comfortable and (once we managed to turn the AC off) very pleasant, especially after a long day of walking. The bathroom was a decent size and hot water was always prompt.

I have always try to stay there when I go to Edinburg ,Texas but I think I will be looking for another Hotel cause this one is starting to look bad . i away reservations a down stairs ahead of time and still and get there and end upstairs . and they tell me if I don’t want it that I don’t have to get the room I can go some where else this trip . I made reservations for 3 rooms none smoking 2 of them . we had to get air freshener and had to leave the door open for a while just to get some of the smell out .

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The attendant in the breakfast room was nice and he even helped us figure out the self service Texas waffle griddle. The breakfast was good. I much prefer eggs and waffles over a continental breakfast. The hotel is pet friendly, has a small dog park and plenty of grassy areas for a quick dog walk. We got a room with a kitchen and it had everything we needed, even complimentary coffee. Overall a good value in a central location. We'd definitely return.

This was a very pleasant surprise. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for 2 nights at this Hotel, and will definitely come back again. The check-in was very easy. and the staff outstanding friendly and professional. We especially enjoyed the lay out of the rooms and the privacy. The beds were very soft and clean, so we slept very comfortably. Breakfast was very good too. I would definitely recommend this hotel as one to stay at passing through Amarillo Texas. They have a really nice hot breakfast. The best part about this place are the employees specifically the front desk staff. I felt like I was hanging out with my family when I went in. They also help me with a couple of issues with my checking and went over and above to make sure that I had a pleasant stay there. I stay there several times. I love that they are pet friendly. The breakfast is hot and it’s super cute that they have waffles that are shaped like Texas! The pool area is gorgeous!

Everything was clean and good, their was one stain on the under comforter but other then that the place was wonderful. The customer service was good, staff was friendly and helpful, when I asked for more towels because there was 4 of us they accomadated our needs. The continental breakfast was good and the waffle maker was the state of Texas. The nice part about this place is they had lots of dining right near the Hotel like literally walking distance. I definitely recommend this place.

The breakfast was awesome. So many different food options. We loved the big fresh Texas waffles. I choose this hotel because it had the better reviews on Google than the other low cost hotels. I was on a budget. It was clean and had plenty of towels. It was easy to find, using my GPS. It was close by an HEB and Dollar General, which I loved. My family loved it. The staff was very nice and they cared. The TV had some good channels to watch.

Property was very clean and well maintained. Hotel manager was always present and made certain that staff was well-trained and displayed a cheerful attitude. Service here was excellent. By far the best hotel experience of the three we stayed at throughout central Texas, and surprisingly, the lowest cost. Housekeeping even replaced the towels each day, which was nice since this kind of service disappeared since Covid for no reason.

July 17, 2021 The Motel 6 North in Longview, Texas is a great place to stay. Hotel staff is friendly and booking was simple and quick. The property is well kept, very quiet and really like the privacy of the area (well away from the busy street) and I love the location, very convenient to anywhere I want to go. In fact, I have booked the hot tub suite again for tonight. Thank you 🌼 Y'all have a great weekend!

The room was spacious and CLEAN. The linens smelled clean. Not like bleach, but clean. The breakfast was good, but needed protein. Who doesn't love a Texas waffle? The coffee was hot and plentiful, and there was plain 1/2 & 1/2. PERFECT. There was even a nice tea selection! Yay! I needed a clean and safe place to sleep, not fancy. Island hotel delivered on my needs.

The room had everything I wanted. It was quite, cool and had a cough in addition to a King sized bed. Small fridge and a bath/shower. It was clean and comfortable. Was a great way to finish a trip to Texas and was in a great location. would recommend the hotel. The hotel has a lot of history and so often this equates to dusty and worn out but definitely not the case with the Driskill.

Such friendly staff at reception. Breakfast was better than most of the equivalent hotels in the region with rather more choice - love those waffle makers! Room spacious and good air con (believe me, absolutely essential anywhere in Texas in summer!) Good value for money. You could pay a lot lot more in Austin - it's a thriving, expanding city and downtown hotels do not come cheap.

I expected breakfast as advertised, and was informed when I arrived that they no longer offered breakfast. And they would not consider any type of deduction on the price of the room. Yes, I could’ve left, but this was in the midst of a terrible Texas ice storm, I did not know the city and felt I didn’t have a whole lot of options to go exploring other hotels.

Just about everything. A fantastic apartment in a brilliant location (read "what didn't you like" for my reason for not giving it a 🙂). Also the host kept me informed constantly before my arrival, and answered all my question, to my total satisfaction. ....Austin is amazing city, in the best state I have visited so far. Texas is magic.

Young lady at the front desk is an exceptional employee! Friendliest check-in experience of my travels. Room is adequate size, well furnished, and very comfortable. Hotel sits back aways from the interstate and very quiet. For the current rate I don't think one could find better accommodations in the whole state of Texas!

The breakfast was hot. Most places now only offer cold breakfast so it was delightful to be offered hot breakfast each morning. Location was great. Hotel smack dab in the middle of the action. AT&T Stadium, Texas Rangers Stadium. GLOBAL LIFE FIELD. ETC. PEOPLE are friendly and accommodating.

First time in Texas and this Hotel has a great location if you are staying between flights but very far from the city centre if you are thinking of going. The staff was very friendly and helpful during my stay and the airport Shuttle was on time. I would recommend this Hotel for sure.

Excellent hotel, the receptionists are so nice and helpful. Breakfast modest but very good, there was always variety of food. If you look for a clean place with decent food in the area of Texas Medical Centre don't hesitate. Hotel offers free shuttle to clincis as well

A great location close to the Texas State Capitol and also to the very vibrant 6th Street. Our suite was most comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff at Reception and the Porters were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Staff was friendly. Hotel is driving distance close to La Cantera, Fiesta Texas, UTSA, Catholic Churches, and many restaurants. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast tacos and pancakes from the restaurant menu are delicious. Free coffee and cookies. Hotel is very clean.
