Lovely town with great walk and views along the water.
Lovely town with great walk and views along the water. The nature center with salmon hatchery was in full activity (end of August), very interesting. I did not get to do the Totem park hikes but would have liked to. We had great weather, which made everything more pleasant.

Very cute Old little city. Wonderful resaturants.
Very cute Old little city. Wonderful resaturants. People friendly. Great drinks. Good shopping, better than Juneau. Loved being on the sea coast and near fishing boats, watching them go out and coming back. Watching men cleaning their catch. Go for the seacoast side. Worth the cost.

Really cool little town!
Really cool little town! Small enough that we could walk everywhere in the downtown area. Lots of great places to eat. Sitka National Park had several walking trails and lots of totem poles. We rented a car so that we could get to other hiking trails. Beautiful view of the mountains almost everywhere you look. We went for 3 days and it was a "just right" amount of time.
