They are renovating the downtown area and we discovered some...
They are renovating the downtown area and we discovered some hidden gems. The Wichita Falls dinner theatre where we had a delicious meal and saw “Steel Magnolias” and a meal at “The Loft” and perusing Pickers, a thrift store and antique shop located downstairs. I’m sure there are many things left to discover downtown and we are planning a trip back there soon. I recommend the Delta Hotel by Marriot if staying in the Falls.

It was easy to find and plenty of parking but other than that I wouldn't stay there again. The front desk lady was rude and not helpful as if I was inconveniencing her by checking in. The $50.00 incidental fee was a bit excessive and I was not told that when I booked the room. The pool was closed even though we called and the person we spoke to said that it was open. We didn't get to eat breakfast as when we got down there about 8:30am there wasn't much left to choose from. 1st room was hot and bathtub was disgustingly full of peeling paint and rust. If given another place to stay I suggest you stay there.

Do not expect anything in Wichita Falls.
Do not expect anything in Wichita Falls. City is fairly rundown. Nothing to speak of in the downtown. It is, on the rougher side, if doing a family visit and you may want to move to a town south or west.

The location was perfect for my needs. I slept comfortable.
The location was perfect for my needs. I slept comfortable. I did not shower as often as I needed because I had no towels. I hated the dirty corners in elevator and behind bathroom door. I wanted to be able to sit comfortable on sofa and visit with my family but it was broken. We thought we would be able to swim but the pool was out of commission. Staff were not efficient at their jobs. No one at desk most of the time. It might be a homeless shelter too.

Plenty of places to choose from for shopping, eating out or hitting happy hour. Home depot, Lowes, Walmart, Sams Club, Kohls, Target, TJ Max, Cinemax movie theater and a bowling alley.
Only 2 hours into Dallas or up to Oklahoma City for a day trip. Perfectly centered between the two.

I stayed there the previous year, and the staff were accommodating, and the amenities were on target. Breakfast was very good, and the value was great. This year they increased the price substantially and it became very apparent that they were understaffed. The staff were working very hard to try to cover all their bases but there usually were only 2 staff members working most of the time. The breakfast was fair but not as good as the previous year. The location is great for me, but as a result of the price increase and the lack of staff support, I felt the value was below average. I would like to stay there again in the future, but I am not confident I will get equal value for the cost of the stay.
