The apartment was in a large building with around 30-40 apartments which were rented out. There is also a very pleasant common area. The apartment was extremely well equipped and had everything we needed. Enough place to hang towels, good places to keep bags and clothes, a good working AC, a well-equipped kitchen, and even a washing machine. The host was very helpful! There are some markets very nearby, and otherwise most places of interest are very easily accessible by Uber. We would be very glad to be back!

I was thoroughly impressed by our stay in APART HOTEL SENSE II – We stayed in the above detailed property for 6 nights. The room is within the hotel but is owned by a private Landlord (strange but a common phenomenon known as “aparthotel”). The room itself is spacious, clean, tidy with large windows which let in lots of light (my favourite part). The bathroom was beautiful with a great shower and large mirror. I found the bed quite comfortable. The room itself is 10/10. The location is also quite good as it is not too far away from the main tourist centre and the Theatre. There are plenty of amenities within the hotel such as the rooftop Pool (it is beautiful), Sauna (you need to pre-request to use this), small Gym, Bar and Restaurant. The view from both the room and the pool was spectacular. There is breakfast available in the hotel for R$60.00 per person, with a large variety of different foods from cold meats to fresh breads and cakes, to juice, coffee, yogurts and fresh fruits. Dinner was also lovely, and the staff were, by far, the nicest people. Carlos at reception went above and beyond for us. He not only provided excellent customer service but also had the patience to list different/unique tourist attractions, answer all of our questions/queries and recommend trustworthy taxis/drivers. He deserves a raise. There is also a small convenient store/shop within the Hotel that is open until late and has all your basic needs such as water, sunscreen, snacks and much more.
