Ever wanted your own private plane? At Vliegtuigsuite Teuge in the Netherlands, you get all the fun without any of the turbulence. Originally used as a government plane for East German officials, this Ilyushin 18 has been converted into a single, elongated suite for two lucky guests, complete with three flat-screen TVs. What’s more, this plane hotel even has a private jacuzzi on board.

At Aviator, you’re really travelling in style. The rooms have walnut and leather finishes, acting as an ode to the decor of private jets. Once an aerodrome terminal, now a hotel, The Aviator retains much of its flighty 1930s charm. Built in Art Deco style, it’s a throwback to a time when to fly you needed a leather cap and goggles.
