This full-day tour will take you from Sofia to Plovdiv, one of the world’s most ancient cities. You’ll get the opportunity to gain insights into Plovdiv’s centuries-old history and explore famous attractions.
After a two-hour drive from Bulgaria’s capital, you’ll reach Plovdiv. You’ll be able to join a 2.5-hour walking tour through the Old Town, where you’ll discover Bulgarian Renaissance architecture, the Roman Theater of Philippopolis, the Regional Ethnographic Museum and other landmarks.
You’ll then have around 1.5 hours to wander around Plovdiv on your own, taking in the central sights and trying the local cuisine. You can choose to visit the trendy Kapana neighborhood and taste Bulgarian wines. As the tour ends, you’ll take a bus ride back to Sofia.
