On this guided tour, you'll visit two Sicilian mountain villages that were featured in the Godfather trilogy. Your first stop will be Savoca, where you'll see the church where Al Pacino's character, Michael Corleone, was married. You'll get to walk in his footsteps down the winding alleyways and sit in his chair in Bar Vitelli. You'll then take a scenic ride through the countryside to arrive in medieval Forza dAgro. In this small mountain village, you'll see the Church of Annunciation, which is also featured in the films.
This food and wine tasting experience in a refined restaurant in Piazza Armerina will provide you with an understanding of Sicilian culinary culture. A skilled chef will prepare a traditional four-course meal: a starter, a first course, a main course and a dessert. Each will be paired with four distinct local wines chosen by a Level 2 Italian Sommelier Association (AIS) sommelier.
With the sommelier’s guidance, you’ll gain insight into the vineyards and cultivation philosophies behind each wine. You’ll also hear stories, wine-making methods and the unique attributes of the selected wines.
On this culinary experience, you’ll get to sample three wine and arancini pairings and get an authentic taste of Sicily.
You’ll be able to try three wines, chosen by an AIS Level II sommelier, and representing different regions, grapes, wineries and cultivation philosophies. Each glass will be accompanied by an upscale arancini, specially prepared by the chef using local ingredients to complement the flavour notes of the wine.
As you drink and dine, you’ll be able to hear insights into Sicily’s food and wine culture and history.
In this sociable cooking class led by an expert chef, you’ll learn how to make authentic Sicilian street food, with a focus on arancini (stuffed rice balls, breaded and deep fried).
As you get hands-on making these traditional recipes, you’ll hear all about Sicily’s food heritage, including its signature flavours and local ingredients.
At the end of the class, you’ll get the chance to relax with a glass of Sicilian wine and taste your culinary creations.
On this cooking experience, you’ll get the chance to make a three-course meal, which you can then enjoy with Sicilian wine.
As you prepare your dishes from local ingredients, you’ll be able to learn all about Sicily’s culinary traditions and techniques from the experienced chef. Once your meal is ready, you’ll be able to sit down and taste it, along with some Sicilian wine.
This is an immersive way to learn traditional Sicilian cooking, while getting the chance to enjoy a three-course meal with wine.
