On this three-hour walking tour, you can explore the streets of Prague's Jewish ghetto as you discover the history of its inhabitants. Starting at the Old-New Synagogue, the oldest-functioning synagogue in Europe, a guide will explain how historic figures and ghetto residents lived from medieval times, through World War II and the Cold War.
You can walk to the town hall, where you can discover how local folklore influenced residents' beliefs, before continuing to one of the largest collections of Jewish ceremonial art in the world at the local museum. Although this small group tour focuses on the dark history and experiences of Jews in Prague, you will be able to glimpse the golden era of the Jewish revival occurring today.
