Here, you can explore a wide collection of neoclassical, Biedermeier, romantic, impressionist and early modernist artwork, with masterpieces by artists like Caspar David Friedrich, Claude Monet and Max Liebermann.

Apart from the permanent installations, the museum also hosts several temporary exhibitions throughout the year that spotlight other art mediums such as sketches and miniatures as well as specific artists such as Rodin.
