On this guided tour, you'll explore highlights of Dresden Castle, including the treasures of the New Green Vault. Inside the castle, you'll make your way through the small ballroom, the parade rooms of Augustus II the Strong and his throne room and exhibits on baroque and classicism.
You'll view opulent furnishings and décor like restored furniture, elaborate mirrors, paintings on the ceiling, golden velvet wall coverings and more. If you visit between April and October, you can also climb the Hausmannsturm Tower for sweeping views over the Elbe valley.
Inside the New Green Vault, you'll discover a wealth of precious items, from gold and silver jewels to ostrich eggs, valuable art and even Augustus II the Strong's coronation coat.

The tour starts at 13:30. Please arrive at the meetup location ten minutes before the scheduled activity time.
Meet your guide at Dresden Castle Residenzschloss by the Georgbrunnen in the small castle courtyard meeting point B of the castle, near the entrance of the museum shop. Your guide will be holding a sign with 'Glanzlichter Dresdens' written on it.
You can reach the location by taking a bus to Dresden Postplatz Am Zwingerteich station and then walking for approximately five minutes.
You can also reach the location by taking a train to Theaterplatz station and then walking for approximately two minutes.
Please note that the German-speaking guide will provide some information in English.
