This guided tour will let you discover the Costa da Morte and some of its most significant sites. An expert guide will show you this impressive coastline endowed with medieval monuments, imposing viewpoints and historic villages.
The tour will start in Santiago de Compostela, from where you will head to a nearby village, Ponte Maceira. Here, your guide will lead you to see the most remarkable sights, such as the old stone bridge over the river Tambre, the mill, the chapel and the old town with its cobbled streets.
Afterwards, you will go to a viewpoint on the Paxareiras Mountain to admire the panoramic views of the Costa da Morte, with the beach of Carnota and Cape Finisterre. At this point, where the world was once thought to end, you will see the Finisterre Lighthouse and the Corcubión estuary. After visiting the lighthouse, you will go to the town of Finisterre to wander through its streets and taste the Galician gastronomy.
The last stop will be in Muxía, where your guide will take you to get to know its important cultural heritage, including the Sanctuary of Virxe da Barca and the Giant Hórreo of San Martiño de Ozón, with the nearby Romanic temple of San Martiño and a small monastery.
