This hands-on experience takes place in a professional ceramics studio, giving you the chance to explore the art form firsthand. During the workshop, you will create two ceramic tiles – one as a personal souvenir to take home and the other as a contribution to a community mural project. Instructors will teach you about the different types of clay and various techniques for decorating tiles.

This experience does not require prior ceramics experience, but please remember to arrive on time, as key ceramic skills are taught at the beginning.
The workshop will be held in English and Spanish by a bilingual instructor.
Ceramics may take time to dry. Tiles can be picked up or mailed after approximately 1–2 weeks. Shipping is not included in the workshop and will depend on the destination. You can also leave your two tiles for the community mosaic and select another finished tile made to take home as a souvenir.
Please note that the activity is easier with short fingernails.
The minimum age for participating in this experience is eight years.
