This tour will take you through the scenic Alsace countryside as you visit villages and learn about the region’s thriving wine industry. In the morning, you’ll make stops to explore the historical villages of Hunawihr, Riquewihr and Eguisheim – each one offering plenty of photo opportunities thanks to their cobbled streets and colorful, half-timbered buildings.
After a stop for you to get lunch, you’ll drive up to the medieval Haut-Koenigsbourg castle high in the Vosges mountains. You’ll then follow the wine route to Kaysersberg to visit a traditional winemaker. Here, you’ll have a chance to learn about the estate’s production methods, followed by a tasting.
