On this no-frills tour, you'll sail to the island of Spinalonga, infamous for being Europe's last leper colony, which earned it the moniker, the Isle of Tears. You'll go on a guided walk to learn about the island's history, which includes being a Venetian outpost and an Ottoman town. You'll see the Venetian fortress and the main street where lepers tried to live regular lives. You'll also visit the old hospital and graveyard. After exploring, you'll sail back to Elounda and get the chance to swim, relax in the sun, go for lunch at a local taverna or visit the chic resort of Agios Nikolaos.
