On this guided tour, you'll see some of Istria's most popular historic sites. You'll start in the town of Pula, where you'll see the well-preserved Roman amphitheater, the Temple of Augustus and the Triumphal Arch, as well as Byzantine and Baroque churches and a Habsburg fortress. You'll then make your way inland to the hamlet of Gržini for a traditional Istrian lunch and local wine before heading back to the coast to explore Poreč. Here, you'll walk the old Roman streets of Decumanus and Cardo Maximus, ending up at the most important monument in town, the Euphrasian Basilica. This is one of the best-preserved monuments of early Byzantine art in the Mediterranean and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
