On this tour, you will explore the cultural highlights of Bhubaneswar city.
The tour will start at Dhauli, the place where Emperor Ashoka gave up war and became Buddhist. Here, you will see the edicts of Ashoka embossed on rocks in ancient Brahmi script and Prakrit language, and visit the Shanti Stupa. You will then drive to Konark to see the Sun Temple, which is one of the greatest architectural masterpieces of India.
After seeing the temple’s sundials in the form of wheels of the chariot, you will visit Khandagiri and Udayagiri caves, the rock-cut dwelling retreats of ancient Jain ascetics. Before the tour ends, you will see the sculptures of women in the ancient Raja rani temple.
