Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes

On this tour, you'll get the opportunity to visit the scenic ice cave and hike up the glacier in Skaftafell National Park.

You'll first head to one of the area's natural ice caves. Accompanied by a professional guide, you'll be able to learn about the process of their formation and explore the area around and inside the cave.

After that, you'll hike towards the glacier. You'll have the chance to learn about the peculiarities of the glacial surface, discover crevasses and take in the spectacular views of Icelandic landscapes.

    The minimum age for participating in this tour is ten years.

    Please note that your shoe size must be a minimum of European 34 (or American 2.5) to use the equipment.

    This tour can accommodate a maximum of 12 participants per group.

    Please arrive at the meeting point, located by the bus parking lot in the Skaftafell National Park, across the road from the Visitor Center. To reach the meeting point from the parking lot for visitors, walk towards the Visitor Center, turn right at the end of the path and turn right in the direction of the bus parking. The parking lot is at the end of road number 998 that branches off the main road number one.
