The Lamone Jungle: between brigands and coalmen

Free cancellation available
Up to 24 hours before the start time
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes

Get ready to be surprised as we delve into the depths of the Lamone forest, a forest described by Dante himself as dark. A magical place and an ancient forest where the last brigands of the Maremma, Domenico Tiburzi, hid. We will also see the places where the ancient craft of the charcoal burner who spent months in the intricate forest to produce the coal necessary to heat our homes during the winter took place. We will also explore human settlements and Etruscan tombs forgotten and hidden for millennia by vegetation. At the end of the excursion there will then be a tasting at a local company.
