Enoshima is often used as the setting for movies and various other productions, and is a popular spot visited by many tourists from Japan and abroad throughout the year.

Eshima Shrine is famous as the god of marriage, entertainment, music, and wisdom, and there are many gourmet foods and souvenirs to be had on the way there.

The Enoshima Iwaya, located in the southwest of the island, is a cave that was formed about 6,000 years ago by waves carving out rocks in the sea, and was shaped into its present form when an earthquake caused the entire island to rise!

Enoshima is also said to have been once inhabited by dragons, and you can see the image of dragons in various places, such as shrines and rock houses. You can even hold a candle and walk through the caves, which will make you feel as if you are actually on an adventure.
