Out of the three crests of this mountain giant, we’ll take you to Lenana Point which is easy to access both for expert climbers and newbies. In order to get to the higher points of Batian (5199m), Nelion (5,188m) specialized skills are required. However, the hike to Lenana Point is fairly simple and can be taken over by regular trekkers as well. Mount Kenya trek that combines the two most scenic routes of Mt Kenya. Ascent is on the dry side of mountain which offers some of the finest walking. Climb up through forest into a wide ridge approach to the summit area. The route starts on the northwest side of the mountain near Nanyuki. Access is adequate and the bunk house facilities are the best on this side of the mountain
